Caves Beachside 
After 4 years of careful planning and formal approval
by both the NSW State Government and Lake Macquarie City Council
Caves Beachside is now under construction.
Caves Beachside Stage 1 will feature: -
- the new beachside hotel,
- 18 luxurious beach suites,
- one display beach house
- and a display village house.
Plus all site infrastructure including the three level wetlands,
roads and all subterranean services. It is anticipated that work
will be completed around January 2009 with function, wedding and
conference enquiries now being taken.
Real Estate sales have yet to commence although it is recommended
that interested parties register their interest as soon as possible,
genuine enquiries have been significant.
 The
web site will be regularly updated to reflect the progress of construction
along with updated floor plans, detailed elevations and comprehensive
inclusion lists.
The beach houses are designed for flexible tourist and residential
use. 40 houses (including four designed for the disabled) are clustered
through re-vegetated coastal heath, with ‘national park style’
loop driveway systems and informal tracks. The precinct also features
a wet edge pool.
The coastal and environmental character is emphasised by naturally
weathered timber, glass and metal features, east facing decks, solar
panels, timber and glass louvers, skylights and highlight windows,

The village housing precinct is situated in the centre of the site,
consisting of 57 detached homes. Lots are aligned on a private two
way road grid. Each dwelling has been architecturally designed and
individually positioned on the blocks to offer superior natural
light, ventilation, privacy, open space and internal amenity.
Internal streetscapes are enhanced with extensive landscaping and
features that include timber pedestrian paths, verandahs to the

The apartments, many designed as dual key (allowing for separate
occupancies within one unit), are designed for flexible use residential
or tourism. They extend along Caves Beach Road, providing another
substantial tourist accommodation opportunity within the development.
